Brianne Ferguson

Brianne Ferguson grew up in the Burlington and started dancing at a young age.  She trained in the Burlington area growing up and was part of the Canadian Ballet Youth Ensemble and Central Company in her high school years.  With CBYE Brianne had the opportunity to work with dancers from the Kiev Classical ballet theatre, the National Ballet of Canada, the Royal Winnipeg ballet and Desrosiers Dance Theatre.  Brianne has been fortunate enough to work with choreographers such as Bengt Jorgen, Kathleen Rea, Michelle DeBrower, Anni Woods, Che Chun, Vitek Wincza, and Robert Glumbek to name a few.

Brianne graduated with honours from the George Brown College Dance Performance Studies program. After graduation Brianne spent two seasons with the Ontario Ballet Theatre, while simultaneously studying with Ballet Master Max Ratevossian (Graduate of the Vaganova Academy of Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia and State University of Lunacharky G.I.T.I.S with a degree of Major of Ballet) for four years to instruct students in the Vaganova method of ballet in all levels. 

In addition to being a part of the Canadian Dance Company team since 2006, Brianne is an Educational Assistant with the Halton District School Board and has experience working with children with all different abilities which she is able to bring in to the studio. 

Some of Brianne's students have gone on to study at the National Ballet School, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Quinte Ballet School, The Kirov ballet school in Washington,  as well as numerous university and college dance programs. 

Brianne is excited to share her passion for dance with her students every season and watch them grow as dancers and people.
