Jason Ambrose

Ballet Director

Jason Ambrose  began his studies at the Virginia Beach Ballet Academy and furthered his training at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School where he danced roles in company productions such as Terrance Orr's "The Nutcracker" and Derek Deane's "Alice in Wonderland." He received scholarships into many prestigious year-round and summer programs including the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and The Kirov Academy of Ballet. Jason is an alumnus of the Ellison Ballet Professional Training Program where he was coached and mentored by master teacher Edward Ellison.

Jason was the first African American to enroll in the Ballet Masters and Choreographers Degree Program at the St. Petersburg Conservatory in Russia where he performed with the St. Petersburg Conservatoire. He has since returned to North America and is the current Director of Ballet at Canadian Dance Company and a Ballet Teacher with Adrenaline Dance Convention.
