Laurel MacArthur’s passion for dance started at a very young age. She began dancing when she was only three years old and competed with the Canadian Dance Company for 10 years. She has been trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Acro, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. Laurel was also a part of hip hop crew in her final year as a dancer with CDC. Laurel was a dance major in high school at Cawthra Park Secondary School of the Arts, where she received training in modern dance. While she was in the competitive program she was presented the award of “Best Assistant” in 2013 by the CDC Team. Laurel is currently a Registered Early Childhood Educator. Laurel is also currently in school to achieve her degree in Early Childhood Leadership at Sheridan College. She loves all children, and loves sharing her passion for dance. CDC has taught her the value of hard work and the importance of team work. She feels very honoured to be a part of the CDC team.
