After a 15 year career as a singer and stage performer, Tammy is no stranger to living a busy and active lifestyle. Singing and dancing on stage for up to 6 shows per day at times, eating healthy and keeping in shape was of utmost importance for success. These days, Tammy has a new passion not only for keeping herself in good physical condition, but also for helping others to achieve success through group fitness classes and personal training. During her own wellness journey, Tammy became fascinated by muscle anatomy and all of the many benefits the body can attain as a result of movement, resistance training and healthy eating habits. This fascination lead her to becoming a Licensed Zumba Fitness and Zumba Toning Instructor and wanting to be able to offer more to her clientele, she became certified as a Yoga Instructor and Barre Instructor. To develop her knowledge and skills even further, she earned certification through the internationally recognized Canadian Association of Fitness Professionals (CanFitPro) to become a Personal Trainer Specialist. Always wanting to offer the most current health and wellness methods and information to her students, she continuously develops her knowledge through attending fitness conferences and workshops and is currently working to achieve a specialized certificate in Active Aging. Tammy's approach to fitness is based strongly on her belief that fitness can be enjoyable and accessible to anyone and everyone. With no shortage of modifications and ways to “kick things up a notch”, She is always fully prepared with an arsenal of movements and exercises suitable to give anyone a safe and effective workout no matter what their fitness level. She loves drawing upon her skills as a performer to lead fun and high energy group fitness classes and she has a unique ability to connect with people to coach, energize and encourage her students to be the best version of themselves.
