Andrew Insanally is proud to have thirteen years of training under his belt. His repertoire includes Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop and Contemporary.
During his competitive career Andrew was honoured with many awards such as; Teen Mr. Dance 2002 (StarPower), 2005 CNE Rising Star Champion, 2005 Gold Medalist at the I.D.O. World Championships in Riesa, Germany. His professional experience includes; a music video Canadian Brass Quartet and dancing for Norwegian Cruise Lines as a part of the Jean Ann Ryan Company. He has also performed for many industrial shows including Mary Kay and GM.
Andrew has also always had a desire to give back. He has performed for many charitable organizations including CIBC Run for a Cure, Three Rivers Foundation and Caribbean Children’s Fund. His passion for making a difference has really done just that as he is currently on the board of directors of the Team Brother Bear Foundation which to date has raised over $100,000 for SickKids Hospital.
This will be Andrew’s forth year with the CDC faculty teaching competitive and recreational. His classes emphasize a love for dance while ensuring his students develop their technique and style. Andrew has also studied Graphics at Ryerson University and is proud to act as the studio’s graphic designer. He is grateful for the amazing experiences and opportunities that CDC has warmly extended to him throughout the years.
